The Neighborhood Preschool is a fully licensed, nonprofit childcare program. The school is housed in two facilities on the Wesleyan campus, each with its own outdoor, fenced and appropriately equipped play yard. In one building, we care for up to 18 preschoolers. The other facility is home to a second group of 13 preschoolers and, in a separate area, up to 16 infants and toddlers.
We operate from from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with part-time schedules available. We currently offer ten-month (September through June) and twelve-month contracts. A separate summer session is available for July and August (see calendar). Students on a ten-month contract can book summer hours as needed on a first-come-first-served basis. Fees are determined by the program based on the schedule selected.
We are supported, in part, by Wesleyan University, and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. NPS does not discriminate on the basis of sex or race.
